Chickadee Chickadee (black-capped)

Size - 4 1/2 - 5 1/2 inches long
Habitat - Deciduous, mixed, and coniferous forests, gardens, and parks.
Nesting - The nest is a loose cup of plant fibers, moss, and feathers at bottom of tree cavity or in a birdhouse.
Eggs - 5 to 10, white with brown spots. Incubation 11 to 13 days. Leave the nest about 14-18 days after hatching.
Food - Seeds, berries, and insects.
Brown Thrasher

Size - 10-12 inches long
Habitat - Brushy woodlands, garden shubbery, and parks.
Nesting - The nest is a bulky cup of twigs and leaves, grass, and bark.
Eggs - 2 to 5, pale blue or whitish, finely speckled with brown. Incubation 12 to 14 days, by both parents. Leave the nest about 13 days after hatching. Sometimes two broods.
Food - Spiders, berries, and insects.
Brown Thrasher
Eastern Towhee Eastern Towhee

Size - 7 - 9 inches long
Habitat - Forest edge, thickets, and shrubbery.
Nesting - The nest is a cup of grass, twigs, and rootlet concealed on the ground.
Eggs - 2 to 6, cream colored or greenish, spotted with brown. Incubation about 13 days, by female. Leave the nest 10-12 days after hatching.
Food - Insects, spiders, seeds, and berries.
House Finch (male)

Size - 5 - 5 1/2 inches long.
Habitat - Towns, suburbs, farmlands, deserts, and thickets.
Nesting - The nest is a cup of grass, stems, and leaves 5-7 feet above the ground in a woodpecker hole, other cavity in a tree or building, or in dense foliage.
Eggs - 2 to 6, bluish with fine speckling. Incubation 12 to 14 days, by female. Young leave the nest 11-19 days after hatching.
Food - Seeds, fruit, buds, and bread crumbs.
